Having or showing great interest.
Enthusiastic can be describe as follows: having or showing great interest. This emotion is part of the long list of "excitement feelings" like excited, amazed, ardent, aroused, dazzled, energetic, enlivened, exuberant, invigorated, lively, passionate, surprised, vibrant.
When I see this long list of words, I am amazed by how many words can describe different forms of excitement. Let’s have a look at the difference between feeling excited and feeling enthusiastic. Excitement is an emotional response we have when something outside of us happens that we really, really like. It is short-lived and fades away quickly. On the other end enthusiasm, comes from within. It is what drives us even when obstacles arise.
Example: she is enthusiastic about her role in the play.
