Feeling trouble about something that might happen.
Worry is part of the "fear" feelings. It is defined as: feeling trouble about something that might happen.
It would be classified as the lowest kind of fear. The emotional response of being worried is milder than being anxious or scared. There is also a difference in the time frame involved. Being scared is a more immediate word than worried or anxious. It seems that worried or anxious last longer.
Example: She could not stop thinking about it. She was so worried about what might happen to her that she could not sleep.
